Update on GulfAid!
Hello again, everyone! I'm dreadfully sorry for the delay, but writer's block is a dreadful thing. Anyway, I'd like to thank my friend Heleen for keeping me posted on the first and second rounds of bidding. As of July 10th, Gulf Aid raised $5916.00 in the first two rounds of bidding. The third round is due to start this week and is expected to go on for two weeks. So if you can, donate or bid! Thanks to everyone who's making this possible!

The Twilight Saga
It's amazing... I've posted twice in the past two days...
Well, today I'm posting about Twilight. Why, do you ask, do I put myself in the middle of the fight between Team Edward, Team Jacob, Team Twilight Sucks and Team Twilight is Brilliant? Quite simply, I live a short distance from Forks... I read and own all four books and I haven't seen any of the movies. I honestly don't mind the books and appreciate them for what they are; they're a collection of cheesy teen romance novels about different sorts of vampires and shapeshifting werewolves. I don't think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread, but neither do I consider them the most terrible novels ever published. They're like popcorn movies that you watch sheerly for enjoyment, nothing more. I'm not on a team; I just don't particularly care.
What does drive me crazy about the phenomenon is the constant stream of ADVERTISING! The movie ads have been on nearly every time I turn on the bloody TV. It gets very annoying very quickly. Oh, well, it'll all be over soon.

Holiday Thoughts...
Hi, everyone! Sorry for the long break. Things come up, like real life. Anyway, it's 13 days to Christmas and it's the first full day of Hannukkah! So to all of you who celebrate one holiday or the other or both, enjoy!
As someone who celebrates Christmas, first, I'm glad that this year I get to see a child's joy in the holiday. My oldest niece is 3 years old and is aware of the holiday. She is learning about the Christmas story and learning the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas." It's fun to see her enjoyment, free of "gimme gimme gimme."
Secondly, I'm glad that this year, I won't have as much under the tree. I didn't ask for much; I don't need too much and there's not much that I want.
That's pretty much it for now. I'll see you again, dear readers.

Faith and Miracles
Do you believe in miracles? I do. I was raised to believe that miracles can and do happen. But is the word, "miracle," used too often to describe non-miraculous things? Is it a "miracle" when your doctor helps you through an ailment, or is it, if you are a religious person, God giving humans the knowledge to cure the problem? Is it a miracle when you get a good parking space, luck of the draw, or just simply a good thing? What do you think and why?
